The Hermosa Valley Greenbelt offers a cool and peaceful escape, just minutes from the beach. One mile long, the San Clemente Beach Trail is one of our best rail routes in the area. The Oso Creek Trail offers a little over four kilometers of asphalt road connecting O so Creek, San Diego Creek and the Balboa Peninsula. The Oceanfront Boardwalk begins at the intersection of Ocean Drive and Ocean Beach Boulevard in Orange County and runs for nearly two miles to the Balboa Peninsula. This area of the garden grove was originally explored in 1769 as part of an expedition by Gaspar de Portola and was the scene of one of his most famous expeditions in 1784.
