I am an engineer that is constantly looking for some excitement. Things I enjoy:

Punk shows - the energy, message, irreverence and humor of the music help me chart a path for my life.

Football - not only watching but playing as well (only flag now a days), actually I like playing more the watching these days.

Skateboarding - I get a thrill out of nearly killing myself every time I get into a pool.

Snowboarding ? I thought it would be easy since I still skateboard. I was wrong.

Light dirt biking ? my friend bought a couple of Enduro bikes and we are having some fun with that. Riding on the street scares the crud out of me though, I feel like road rash waiting to happen.

Spending time with my kids ? either coaching my son or watching my daughter at gymnastics, I really get a kick out of it.

Hobbies of mine include:

Converting all my old vinyl to digital format and enjoying the benefits.

I have two older cars that I play with, one is complete ? a 68 convertible and the other is under construction ? a 69 fastback.

Playing with my son's xbox?? engineer's are geeks by default.

Playing with my daughter's computer?.. honest, I can make it run faster.

My work life is going well and I have achieved all that I every wanted. To bad folks keep wanting me to do more, I am currently deciding weather to train for a director's job or stay a division manager??. Engineers are not rich, but they are not poor either. I've always had enough money to what I want, but I don't have expensive tastes either. Like I said, I am deciding????..

That makes them hard to learn about, design and manufacture. They are truely an art of science. So I chose to major mechanical engineering. I do a lot of activities about cars (not recently because of funds), but I still try to make time for anything involving cars.

One of the important characteristic of mine is that I'm not embarassed to do everything in ways I think is right or smart. To me, my actions need to make sense to me and also need to be right. I don't let my decisions be based on what is cool or what people will see or think of me. I make decisions based on what makes me proud, what is smarter, benefits vs loss, longrun vs shortrun, well you get the idea. Many people say they don't care about what others say, but if you choose anything less than what you think is the smartest because you think it's embarassing or it isn't with the trend or what is "cool", then you are well conceited. I always filter informations and influences through what is smart or helpful, and my actions and thoughts are projected with most honest opinions and appropriate actions

I belive the rarest and most truest form of intelligence is made. You are as smart as you want to be. You must build your own Intelligence, because the best form of intelligence is gained with very high efforts and not born with you. Only the smartest people survive and thrive.

Anyways I don't like to judge people based on their heritage or physical appearance. You are a fool if you generalize people by their physical nature. Age is just a number. I will be happy to get to know you, no matter who you are. You don't know who the other person is until you talk to them and get to know them first.

I can be an introverted person most of the time, but i have an adventurous side too. I've been bungee jumping and it was incredibly fun.. The adrenaline is crazy; the moment u step out on the platform and you're staring down hundreds of feet into the bottomless pit that is rocks-giant, painful rocks, the feelings literally take ur breathe away, but its a rush..so there's no time to contemplate chickening out; just gotta take that leap or they'll push you. I have a really, really bad habit of drinking boba and stalking my favorite people, movies, and stuff on Wikipedia.

I value written (or in this case "typed") messages over verbal communication. I just love reading my comments or messages because I know people tend to take more time to write something...whereas talking occurs more on impulse.

Well on the outside I seem to be a very driven guy who knows exactly what he wants and does what he needs to do to get it, and for the most part its true, but there is a big part of me that just wants to drop everything and run far away very fast. Of course I don't so I find ways to cope with the sometimes life draining reality. To help me deal I go out with my friends just to get a blended coffee drink ( it doesn't always have to be a Starbucks), talk, and have a good time. I love doing photography, specially at the beach, park or mountains. I can actually take some pretty good landscape shots, but the best shots I take are of me and my friends just playing around. When I'm on my own I tent to day dream a lot, I can stare into space thinking of a reality far of for quite a while before realizing it. I also love watching movies, there is nothing better than staying up all night watching a of couple good movies. I do get out once in a while and go dancing, though to be honest I'm not very good, but who cares most of the people on the dance floor aren't either. I love my family and can't imagine living without them, but it can be a challenge living with them.

I am noodles. Real name is Ryan. noodles is my nickname. Long story. Everyone online calls me noodles, everyone IRL calls me noodles. Noodles never speaks in third person.

I am 6'1'' tall. I don't know how much I weigh, but it probably went over 200 over the last year. Noodles isn't super skinny like he used to be. Some people like me better with meat on me. I prefer slim, but in the end I care not.

For the last few years, I have had an afro, or at least curly hair of...length. I find it to have character.

One thing I am looking for in people is maturity and passion. Because I can, I will take something from when I used to keep a journal of thoughts and post it here.

2/24/09 I feel, somehow, that I am growing more mature. My idea of what I like in women has changed. It may or may not be the truth, but my idea has definitely changed. One of the reasons I may have been subconsciously shying away from the girls I fancy is that I donâ??t sense a depth to them. I donâ??t see them having a sense of direction, a dream, or some profound reason that keeps them from having such a thing. Theyâ??re just girls, living their life. Getting up, going to school, going home, chatting about nothing, and going to sleep. Even if they have something horrible that has happened in their life, they lack the depth â?? or drive â?? to come to grips with it, and go on as if nothing really happened. I can find someone cute and think they have a nice personality, but those arenâ??t what make them a beautiful person in my mind, and I canâ??t fall in love with them. When I think of protecting someone, which is probably something men should think about, I think of protecting a woman (I notice here that I am saying â??woman,â?? not â??girl.â?? Fascinating.) from her own mental torment, not from gangsters or anything like that. Although that certainly has romantic appeal. But I feel I canâ??t remain a romantic. Part of being mature is being connected with reality. Real people have real problems. People are good, but they are weak, and succumb to desires. If they are aware of themselves on enough levels, they will fear their own weakness. That would be where I step in and embrace her, and tell her that I will still be there for her when the sun rises the next morning â?? which, by the way, will definitely be rising. The music right now is soft and seems to amplify my thoughts. It isâ?¦romantic. I worry now that life for me will be this endless teetering between fantasy and reality. I want to be a game designer with a major in literature. I want to be a creator of worlds. I wonder, can I keep a hold of myself during that time? I assume I will live till then, as most healthy people do. But even then, I need someone to complete me. I need someone to hold me together. I need someone to share a mutual trust with. I need someone.

Crate digging is a term used within people in the music community where you go to stores such as the salvation army, record shops and swap meets and look for old vinyl records and collect them. Once you collect the vinyl, the person who buys the record takes the vinyl and takes pieces of music out of the vinyl record and makes their own music out of it. The term is called sampling and it is very famous within the hip hop community. Now that I got that out of the way, I love educating myself and keeping an open mind with everything. I'm currently finishing my college degree with a major in English (option is Creative Writing). I best express my self through writing fiction, particularly short stories (I currently have an idea for a novel). I won my first literary award for a poem when I was a freshman in high school.

I once got lost at a mountaintop in the Fujian Province in China. I used my limited knowledge of Mandarin, and hitchhiked on the back of a motorcycle 20 miles down a mountainous road back to my hotel room.

One night I may go to bed at 9:00. Next night I may be out at some random beach at a bonfire with some new friends I just made. I could either be at a fancy bar, or playing dungeons and dragons in the back of an office somewhere, and be having the time of my life doing either! I once had a goal of finding this waterfall in the San Bernardino National Forest. Spend hours looking for it, and got lost in the mountains. Never found it. But I will find it one day!

Politics and social movement is huge to me. I've been arrested twice for civil disobedience. I'm what you call a hardened criminal. :-)
